AWW -......AHHH SO CUTE

TIGER AND HARP

We walked to downtown Prescott and found the shop window where the tiger was.

Here it is without reflections in the glass.

Tomorrow will be in Sedona.

GHANDI RAP - Be The Change

Thanks Enocia for hooking me up.

THE TIGER I BLOGGED ABOUT BELOW

Today I'll go back at a different time than yesterday and hopefully the reflection won't be a noticeable.

This was a display in the window that I really want to get a better photo of.

I've never seen a tiger playing a harp - LOL.

I NEED a good picture of this.

HELLO FROM PRESCOTT

Which I learned on our first trip here several years ago is pronounced "Pres-cutt" not PresCot.

Weather is warm and we've had a few walks and good food.  My camera wasn't behaving and I found out that it was the operator of it - I had the photo resolution too low so have changed the setting and hope I get better photos today.

This one is from a painting in the hotel.  I went around yesterday and photographed all the art work on the walls.  All of the paintings have a western theme.

Prescott is a nice town to visit and it looks like they are just beginning some of the renovations on the old Victorian houses near town.  Unlike some of the cities I've been to where they have these beautiful historical districts, Prescott still has a lot of old run down homes.

I tried to photograph some yesterday but the angle of the sun was preventing me from getting decent photos.

Today we will visit a museum and a small zoo.

I also want to retrace my steps from yesterday and try to get better photos of down town now that I've changed the setting on the camera.

I have very few pictures so far that I would blog as the quality is so bad.

The rooms are comfortable and OMG the casino here is filled with smoke and disgusting.  I can't believe as an ex smoker I am calling a smoke filled casino disgusting but it is.  It certainly didn't make me want to ever pick up a cigarette again.  I'm so glad I quit two and a half years ago.

We have tonight here in Prescott and then tomorrow we will be on our way to Sedona (I can't wait to see that first glimpse of those gorgeous mountains).

I'll probably post some of the photos I've gotten from here later, especially one that I have to walk by a store front window again to try and get a better picture.  The sun was reflecting on the glass but I did get a little bit of the scene.  It is a tiger playing  a harp which I thought was really cool.

LEAVING FOR SEDONA AND PRESCOTT FOR A FEW DAYS

I found this spectacular video of this bartender on the internet - wow is all I can say.

I found some photos off the net.  This top one is a photo of the room we stayed in about six years ago at Bell Rock Inn.   We booked another stay there this time but it might have been renovated and not look the same.

First off we will go to Prescott for three days and then Sedona for two.  I have been wanting to get back to this area for a visit since 2004.  We have been twice before.  My husband's father died on Valentine's day 2004 in Sedona, and that is the last time we were here.

The first time we visited my back was bothering me so I couldn't hike.  The second time was for his father's death, so there wasn't much recreation time going on.

These mountains, as you come around a curve and see the first ones, take your breath away - they are so beautiful.

My first hike, the first time I was here was out to Bell Rock along this path.

I have never been here when it snowed -

How incredibly beautiful these mountains are with snow.  I'll have to definitely visit some time in winter.

Speaking of snow - we are moving to Wrightwood, Ca - a mountain town - around the middle of June.  I'm so excited that I had to go on vacation first to make the time pass quickly.  I'll have a lot to blog about once I'm moved.

A BLUES KID

Jake's a mini Blues Brother - mainly because he likes Blues Clues and sunglasses.

I wasn't really paying attention when sitting outside with my camera and when I looked over Jake surprised me as usual with some funny behavior - He loves to make gramma laugh so putting on his sunglasses upside down did it.

But then he took them off as he had developed some engine problems.

He quickly got out of the car to try and determine the source of the sputtering.

It seems to me like he may have solved the problem.

Guess not - that looks says it all.

Sometimes miracles can happen when you least expect them so chin up little guy.

Superdad  showed up and solved the problem.   Now that makes him happy!

WHAT ONE MAN DOES FOR PEACE - VERY CREATIVE

April 23rd, a little after lunch. 1991. That was the moment Joe Murphy, also known as Joe Peace, decided that he would make something for peace - something connected - like a peace chain. The details weren't clear to him at the time, but he knew that he would make these things, that he would give them away, and that he would do this for the rest of his life. To date, Joe has made close to 500,000 ceramic pendants with the word "peace" in over 90 languages.

Enjoy!

"ECLIPSE"

The first word that came to mind when I photographed this the other day was "eclipse".

Mackenzie and her brother and cousin were playing with a stethoscope listening to each others' hearts and diagnosing their problem (ha)...She was lying down waiting to hear the diagnosis.  I stood over her and took the photo.

She looks a little apprehensive to hear their diagnosis and prognosis for recovery.

The yellow easter bucket in the corner of the photo was sitting on the bed and just included itself in the picture.

It looks like the moon is heading towards her and will eclipse her face soon.

I and my camera are the earth.

So in order of importance

Sun - Mac
Moon -  Easter bucket
Earth - My camera and I

ha!
